Priya Luthra

Director of Vector Platforms

Priya serves as Director of Viral Vector Platforms at GIVAX, where she leads a multidisciplinary research team advancing the company’s dual rotavirus/norovirus combination vaccine candidates. She brings over a decade of experience in viral immunology, vaccine development, and antiviral therapeutics, with a proven record of driving programs from preclinical discovery toward first-in-human studies. Prior to joining GIVAX, Priya was Director of Infectious Diseases at GSK, where she led host-directed therapeutic programs against respiratory viruses, advancing assets from early target identification through candidate selection. Earlier in her career, she directed a translational virology program at the Trudeau Institute, spearheading antiviral drug discovery and vaccine development efforts targeting emerging viral pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2. She earned her Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology, specializing in viral immunology, from Penn State University.
