Ally Schulgen

Research Associate

Ally is a research associate at GIVAX, where she supports the characterization of candidate vaccine viruses and contributes to the production of select vaccine viruses for in vivo studies.  Prior to joining GIVAX, Ally was a laboratory technician at Eurofins – Gold Standard Diagnostics where she assisted in diagnostic testing and production of immunoassays. Ally received a B.S. in Immunology and Infectious Disease from Penn State University, where she also worked as a research assistant in the Animal Diagnostics Laboratory affiliated  Jayarao/Byukusenge  laboratory. There she researched a novel bovine coronavirus and helped to characterize it using processes like Whole Genome Sequencing.
